I'm Stephanie, the founder of the Counted CPA empire. After growing up around my mom's tax practice as a kid, I decided to pursue an accounting degree at Purdue University.  One of the things I love about accounting is that it touches all industries. I enjoy studying a variety of subjects, both formally (accounting, English, and premed in college) and informally (crypto currencies, real estate, business development).  I used a four-year academic scholarship at Purdue to pack in as many classes as possible, and continue to love digesting large amounts of information to this day - although some of it now involves not just bookwork, but also how to raise and educate our awesome kids!

My husband, J.W., is a partner in Counted CPA and a statistics pro.  He also graduated from Purdue, with a degree in Agricultural Economics. After working for our alma mater for several years, we discovered J.W. has excellent teaching skills and is particularly talented working with students remotely.  His hobbies-turned-business include keeping up with current events, tracking macro economic trends, and educating others on personal finance. He completed his Master's Degree at the University of Delaware, and now works with Counted CPA to take on marketing, Human Resources, and economic planning. Perhaps more importantly, he keeps us grounded and gives a long-term perspective on both our vision as a family and a business.

Together, we enjoy traveling as well as hanging out at home with our two kids in Southern Indiana. When we're out and about, you might catch us hunting for the best eggs Benedict or crab cakes around, and keeping a tally of our favorites of all time.
